Originally from Martinique, Catherine started out as a talent agent for actors and scriptwriters, then program advisor for the French content department of FranceTelevision (France 2) and later for TF1 as creative producer. She is the co-founder of the Ecole Miroir, a French performing school that promoted equal opportunities and the growth of talent from disadvantaged neighborhoods and rural areas.  In January 2020, at the request of the Minister of Overseas France, she joined the interministerial delegation for equal opportunities and visibility of French overseas people as a culture and audiovisual expert. In November 2020, Catherine joined Netflix France for a mission of more than a year as Inclusion & Diversity Program Manager. Since March 2022, she works as an Inclusion and Diversity Consultant in audiovisual and cinema and is a board member of the Canneséries festival and the Ateliers Médicis.
